Feel free to comment on their posts but please make sure it is positive or constructive feedback. We continue to work on the blogs, adding posts and information. They are works in process.
Endangered animals need intervention from volunteers to help them survive. Almost 800 species have already disappeared from the planet. Habitat destruction, the introduction of nonnative species, hunting, and overexploitation by humans are among the main reasons animals become endangered.
Wednesday, December 10, 2008. The red panda is an endangered specie. I must say it is really adorable. Wikipedia gives a lot of great information about the Red Panda, or Lesser Panda. Their threats section is not sited though, which means the information may not be correct. Still the other areas provide reliable resources.

Wednesday, March 23, 2011. The Black Crappie is a large sunfish, it can grow up to 16 inches and it can weigh about 5 pounds. The black crappie has a rounded body with green, silver, and black scales all over its body. They live in warm ponds; lakes; streams; and resevoirs; so they are a fresh water fish. The black crappie is a schooling fish, so they are usually found in groups.
