My first hour or so out of the house was an opportunity for my 6 year old daughter to stretch her legs in a local playground a few hundred yards from our base in Lake City. Next up overhead the dark form of a turkey vulture gliding around, closely followed by several more and a black vulture in tow. In one of the trees at the playground another mo.
Not only that we have been updating weekly. Needless yo say the excitement died down and in the end Gary retained his composure to get some fantastic shots.
These shots were taken from a fare distance,lets hope we get closer views in the future. a visit to the coast next to cresswell got use to see at least 200 common scoter,8 Red-throated divers. Newbigin Showed us 5 red-throated divers and three med-gulls. Love to see geese flying into land on the lake. Nice to get close to the wigeon.

Latest bird news from Øygarden, Hordaland, Norway. Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Tjeldstø 11 April 2018 - First Swallow and ton up in Øygarden. Calm and sunny in the morning, light northerly breeze later. Cracking weather again and thus not much in the way of grounded migrants. However, plenty of new arrivals busy setting up territories. The first new for the year came before I even left the house in the form of the first Swallow låvesvale. Were seen from my terrace.
