So Miss Emily thought is was a good idea to make a pond which show how thing work in nature and a pond was perfect for it . We started studying pumps and the shape that we wanted it to be. Tuesday, December 11, 2007. Coral Reef Study December 2007. For the 4th year in a row, the sixth grade class from Doulos Discovery School ventured to the coral reef at Playa Fronton off the Samana peninsula. Rubén Torres and his team from Reef Check International, our students learned how a coral reef is built and maintained in nature. We also learned what is destroying the reefs worldwide and how we can be advocates of this beautiful part of creation. Thank you, Reef Check! .
