Wednesday, January 01, 2014. The kids were very busy this past year with school and other activities. Mendocino for a week with her 5th grade class for science camp. Seattle to visit her friend Erika. Three day trip to Elkus Ranch with 3rd grade class. 4th grade Beach Trip and field trip to the Bay Model in Sausalito. Field trips to Monterey Bay Aquarium, Seymour Marine Lab in Santa Cruz, Marine Mammal Center.

Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Raps, Posters, and Mobiles, Oh My! I have really been struggling to motivate my Pre-Algebra class to do, well, ANYTHING. They were not doing their homework, participating in class, or studying for any type of quiz or test. So, I decided to try a different approach. I assigned them a project that, I hoped, would motivate them enough to take some initiative to learn the material.

Last Friday we celebrated the 1st Annual Character Day at Crossett Middle School. Students and staff were encouraged to dress up as a favorite character from a book. I was Velma from Scooby Doo! Everyone had a great time and it was a good way to promote reading. Sunday, November 7, 2010.
I began this semester bound and determined to succeed and it seems like I continued to be overwhelmed with life! I hope to have better teaching experiences in the upcoming days but for now, life is hard. Make sure you check it out! Tuesday, November 30, 2010.
