Monday, August 10, 2015. We rode the shinkanzen 45 minutes out of our way to see this newly restored castle in Himeji. It was a great choice! It is the largest castle in Japan. We ate the most delicious breakfast of pastries on the train and then walked out to the castle before it even opened. It was bright white and up on a huge hill. We took a quick trip to the gardens next door which were beautiful, but not much in comparison to Kyoto.

To put it another way, I was almost 8 months pregnant with Carter when I last posted and he is now 9 months old. We moved back to America. We found out Shane would be rotating at ARMC. Shane took and rocked Step 1 of his medical boards.

Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Trip to Grenada Jan 29-Feb. 6, 2013. To get Melinda warmed up before she goes off on her mission to Ukraine, we flew to Grenada in the West Indies. Shane and Kim were gracious to host us for a week. First thing we did was to go swimming at Magazine Beach. It was warm and beautiful. Jeremy didnt like waves but we had fun jumping in them. Fish Friday with the Steel Drum Band. We went to a smaller falls and slid down the rock into a large pool below. Jeremy loves his cars!CONTENT
