Photos and Tales from the Chatter Creek Sawmill and Lumber Yard. Thursday, July 29, 2004. In June of 2002, Chatter Creek Mountain Lodges Ltd. Building site located about 100km north of Golden B. The mill was required to produce all of the dimensioned lumber for a 9300 sq. lodge to be build of logs harvested from the surrounding forest. In heating Vertebrae lodge, the Chatter Creek partners wanted no open fire in the lodge and no chimneys that might be damaged by the heavy snow load that the roof could collect. Christoph Loesch of Parson and his associates Sigi Liebmann of Golden and Zsolt Mozes of Parson visited Chatter Creek over a weekend and, between them and the Chatter Team, three large trusses were designed, constructed and erected into place.
