HOT BREAD PUDDING

Remove crusts from bread and then apply butter generously on one side of the bread. Cut each slice into 4 pieces. On a greased rectangular dish, arrange one layer of bread slices with the buttered side down. Sprinkle raisins and half the sugar on top. Arrange the rest of the bread with buttered side up. Mix nutmeg powder with the rest of the sugar and sprinkle on top of the bread slices.
