Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Callie, Alexa, Quinn, and Leah had a great time making gingerbread houses, watching Damon, and participating in the traditional Hench nativity. Tuesday, January 10, 2012. The last of 2011 in Picture. we opened presents this night to keep the Sabbath more about church and Christ and less about presents. the pickle is a little ornament that is hidden on the tree and the first one to find it gets to open the first present. Kate was the lucky one! The kids had fun! Christmas morning.
And Well! Tuesday, June 7, 2011. On May 7, 2011, Doug and Amber ran the Snoqualmie Cinco de Mayo Half Marathon. It was in the little town of Snoqualmie- up near North Bend, and Mt Si where we had just been in March. This was my first Half, and I was so excited! I was actually planning for the Seattle Rock and Roll Half in June, but my training was going well. I had recently run 11 or 12 miles, and felt good. I decided to go for it.

Monday, August 5, 2013. Carthage Jail was so amazing. I could tell we were on sacred ground the moment we got there. The Nauvoo Temple was breath taking! How many grandkids get to have both sets of Grandparents on a trip? Well my kids are pretty lucky because they got to have both sets of Grandparents on our trip. They loved getting lots of attention and just spending time with them. We loved being able to spend this special time together with our children and our parents.
