Tuesday, 9 November 2010. Monday, 8 November 2010. From Leeds born and bred, I am currently studying a Graphic Design degree at LCA in my home town. I like writing words, casually drawing and taking photographs as well as the usual things like everyone else. These blogs follow and document my practices in design, influences and responses and my own work.

5 Successes, Fails and Improvements. 1 Working on live briefs, although it has influenced my work I have gained valuble knowledge into dealing with clients and has led to further commissions, freelance work and industry contacts. 2 Using tutorials effectively, i found these very beneficial in initial research stages to discuss thoughts and ideas with someone else than just myself. These were also documented well and could be referenced later.

By far this module has brought to light a realism of the design process, working within the real world beyond the studio. Setting up a business within the current climate is particularly difficult and off-putting, but with what has been taught within the seminars and lectures that anything in business is possible with the right planning and detailing.
