The only times our numbers were out of whack was after Christmas because of the holiday feeder and then for a short period of time we had a little algae problem. For the next several months, you will be lifting heavy buckets of water, trying to keep your water quality in check, and struggling to find time to feed your fish. Put a charcoal medium in your filter, for the water clarity that everyone wants. Clean the algae from your decorations every time you clean. I think those are the major points.
