My silence has been mainly by design. I am paid to make noise via social media at work, so it is not always thrilling or interesting to add to the din once I get home. Friday, June 16, 2006. Neill, Juan and Daniel, also came to say goodbye. They helped us flag a taxi and pack up all of bags to go. It was a sad good bye. We promised to return as soon as we could. Amy had tears steaming down her face, and Mike had tears in the corner of his eyes. We boarded the bus and watched out the window as we passed the barren landscape between Chimbote and Lima.
