Saturday, February 10, 2018. 2018 King of the Hammers Desert Race. Always a fun event for me to attend - it is held in Johnson Valley about 30 miles from the RV Park - they turn a large piece of BLM Land into a town of about 40 thousand people and then hold a week of various races from motocross motorcycles, side by sides and one day of open class with the final race being the Ultra 4 Racers which is the ultimate Desert Challenge. Jay and I had a great fishing trip at Yes Bay Lodge. The boat trip to Ketchikan was the best with clear skys, calm waters and captain Dewey was a great conversationalist. He gave us information regarding the submarine base that seemed strange that such a thing existed so close to town.

Friday, August 14, 2015. Yes Bay Lodge Fishing Report-August 13, 2015. The clouds broke and the wind died down to make for a gorgeous SE Alaska day! We actually had a Silver hot the dock accompanied with two more Kings so hopefully this means that the Silvers should be here any day now.
