In English we have been discovering our five senses to write poems. Tuesday, 12 May 2015. On Monday, Year 3 went to Manchester Museum to be dinosaur detectives. First we had a look at a few fossils. Then we went to a dinosaur crime scene and had to work out who was a victim and a suspect from the evidence. With the evidence we had to decide who was guilty of the crime. To round up the day we all had a photograph under the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Sunday, 29 March 2015.
Sunday, 12 July 2015. Our topic this half term has been comparing an area in North America with our own area. We each took a state to study and put together our own map of Canada. We looked at the art work of Canadian artist Ted Harrison, whose work was inspired by the sea. Sunday, 21 June 2015.
Monday, 9 February 2015. We chose to use the Amazon Rainforest as an area to compare with Saddleworth. Saturday, 4 July 2015. Britain and Beyond Week- Jamaica! We have had another fantastic week. This week we have been learning all about Jamaica. After our whole school assembly, we generated questions about Jamaica. We then started to find answers to our questions. What is the flag like? The yellow represents the sunshine. The black represents the creativity of the people. The green represents the luscious lands of Jamaica. We then used maps and atlases to find Jamaica and the continents.
