A customer, Melanie from. Was looking through an old post of mine and came across a walking stick I had made in 2008 around the time my father passed away. I hope Melanie and her husband enjoy the walking stick, and from time to time think about where it came from. Been gone over and painted.

My adventures probably started as a youngster. Along the way I have found happiness to be an overall contentment resulting from having the courage to follow my own dreams, and as Henry David Thoreau. It is my hope .

We have started being active on Twitter and Facebook again as we now have some nice pictures and interesting goings on in the woods to post about. We have also been made aware of a relatively new site called Pinterest. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has being using this. I have been collating images of great treehouses and the collection so far can be seen here.

Sunday, February 12, 2012. This project took me over a year to complete. Not a years worth of carving, just life taking priority over my hobby. I am glad to have it completed. The client wanted this as a gift for her husband. It will be outside in thier pool area for the summer months and inside for the winter. It is made of a western red cedar. I purchased the blank online from PefectPlank. Starting the stop cuts with the router.
