Saturday, November 3, 2007. OCTOBER 29 - NOVEMBER 3. Welcome to our newest aspect of Windward Kennels online! We will be posting each week to keep you all informed on our progress and to let you know how life in Alaska is going! This week has been an interesting one, including a stomach virus, a chimney fire, snowstorms and dog breeding! We emptied all of our possessions out into the snow, and waited to see what would happen.
Matt, Becca and 45 Really Happy Sled Dogs! We are Windward Kennels! We have 40 Alaskan Huskies, mixed-breed dogs bred specifically for pulling sleds. We also have 3 Siberian Huskies, which are more of a freighting dog, a German Shorthair Pointer who loves to pull a sled, and a Staffordshire Terrier, the ultimate couch potato.

We are welcoming our newest members to WINDWARD KENNELS! Snoopy and Surf have a beautiful litter of 5 boys and 1 girl! Jody, Guy, Tully Mars, Joe Merchant, Push Rod, and Willet Rainer Snow are almost 3 weeks old, and turning into a fun bunch! We were also lucky enough to get 3 puppies from 4-Time Iditarod Champion, Martin Buser. Rhonda, Leisa and Tamara are quite a handful! They are now 10 weeks old, and love to go for puppy walks! Pictures and Sponsorship availability will be posted soon! WE ARE CURRENT.CONTENT
