Thursday, October 22, 2009. A trip to Galena. Jack and I were able to run away for a one day stay in Galena, IL. My wonderful sister Valerie volunteered to watch the kiddos so we could get away for an early anniversary trip. It was beautiful! The area around Galena is lovely - rolling hills, red barns, fields of corn, and the trees were beautiful yellows and reds. Its hard to tell from the pictures how picturesque it really was.
