Act Now For Autism is a core group of people passionate about the future and well-being of children and adults with autism and associated conditions in the UK. Act Now For Autism are campaigning against aspects of the Welfare Reform Bill, specifically the WCA, Work Programme and the impact of the changeover to Universal Credit and PIP. We are ardently campaigning for advocacy to be offered to anyone who has to have a face-to-face assessment.

This is a group blog run by some bloggers who between us have several years experience of blogging, campaigning, charity work and disability. We are disabled people and their parents, family members and allies. We know that we all have a voice, and this is where we express it.

I want to develop a more accessible website. This site ran from 2009-2011, exploring a variety of feminist issues through a disability lens, in response to the lack of disability content in online feminist spaces, after which it closed due to lack of community support. This archive may include outdated content and broken links.

All too often we are. Rarely do disabled people get the opportunity to speak for ourselves and in so doing leave our imprint within history.
