.Wilkes-Barres Fires.

Monday, November 17, 2008. The tavern kept by Mr. Archippus Parish, in Wilkesbarre, was destroyed by fire on Friday, February 26th. To the exertions of the ladies is described, in a great degree, the saving of other buildings from destruction. This is mentioned as the first dwelling destroyed by fire in that borough since the Wyoming massacre.
