MOSTLY MONTREAL, MOST OF THE TIME. I recently watched a great video. On YouTube of the symposium, put together by Drew Yu. Sketching today ends with shrieks.
An illustrated journey through life and time. Wednesday, April 2, 2014. This little scene greets me every time I walk out of my garage. I never thought to sketch it until I saw it with the evening sun hitting the tall grasses from behind. The way the sun catches the individual blades, creating lots of highlights and long shadows. I was also drawn to the beautiful lights against the darks. Glad I got to record it in my journal. 3x5 wc journal, Winsor and Newton wc.

Watercolor Paintings Reproduced as Gicleé Prints. Welcome to my site! My watercolor paintings are reproduced using the Giclée printing process because it accurately duplicates the luminous quality of my watercolor washes. My limited edition Giclée prints are printed on a heavyweight archival watercolor paper, the same paper I use for my original watercolor paintings. Each print is signed and numbered. I enjoy hearing from visitors to my site. My work is featured in the beautiful new book.
Watercolor paper is a basic necessity for the watercolor artist. It needs to be strong enough to withstand soaking and stretching, as well as abuse such as scraping and lifting paint. The paper is normally white and is made from cellulose fibers such as hemp, jute, wood pulp, or cotton. Acid free paper produced from cotton fiber rag is not only the most popular watercolor paper, but also the longest lasting. Watercolor paper is generally sold in 90, 140, or 300 lb.
