Wanstead Birding

Stus sounds of Wanstead. Epping Forest Its birds. Edward North Buxton 192. Usually skulky birds here on patch, except when they are singing, today one braved me crawling towards it on my knees. No sign of any flycatchers though, but that could be down to crawling on my knees too much. Plenty of Willow Warbler though frequenting the boggy bit of the SSSI. Tomorrow the weather looks absolutely crap. Brilliant! Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Catcher in the Fly. That news even brought Bob out of his house.

But oddly the call seemed to be coming from across Centre Road and in the opposite direction I would have imagined - being alone in the dark can play odd tricks on the mind.
