A selection of our favourite walks around Olney and further afield. This is a really nice walk, particularly if you can do as we did and head for the Rose and Crown pub in Yardley Hastings for dinner, with a taxi back home. Pick up a really pretty footpath through meadows into Yardley Hastings.
Finally, I have a chance to sit down and write up another day of our trip to Wasdale. The last remnants of cloud were lifting. Branching off to take the path up to Beck Head. Getting nearer the top of the ridge. The view from Beck Head.
I woke up early this morning and gravitated, as I always do, toward the window. Clear, crisp, sunny. The waters of the Hudson incredibly still, a mosaic of blues savoring the calm, waiting for the next ferry or tug to interrupt the stillness. I get the proverbial itch often.
