I seem to have neglected this blog of late. I have been busy writing, though.
What would posses me to walk some 2,175 miles on a worn muddy path which so many before have conquered and many after will tread forward upon. Why do I make the choice to postpone life , is it to escape responsibility, to find myself, to learn, to seek adventure, or to prove myself as a man? I think this question is very valid, why walk? These questions lie heavily upon me, because I feel it is important to have purpose in any endeavor you pursue.
Butteremere, amidst the unique fells of the Lake District, was the venue of the last mile. Having been beset by hail on the Honister Pass, the rain cleared after lunch and we indulged in stone skimming along the surface of the lake.
