Wednesday, May 13, 2009. It seems that the management changes have been responsible for minimizing the back lesions. The photo on the left is of an old back sore. Our observations revealed mainly chest wounds where the girth strap lies, tail ulcers and abscesses from the supporting rope. The saddle itself however has not changed since. I have provided a photo of Dr. Madhu showing an elephant owner a photo of the saddle to the left, his expression is priceless.

Wednesday, July 22, 2009. This is our farewell blog entry. SO much has happened in the last few weeks of our project, but unfortunately we had no electricity for a long period of time and had to conserve our computer time for report writing, etc. It is beyond words how much the people here have touched our lives. We all have such good memories to take away with us, and aspirations to keep in contact and possibly return, hopefully soon, to see everyone again.
