No one is quite sure when the bowls club was first established, but there is a record of two members of Long Stratton BC winning the county championship in 1929. The club moved to its present green in 1973. Prior to that it was situated in the grounds of a house belonging to Lt Col Wandsbourgh-Jones in the Street. The present green is highly maintained and is an exceptional playing surface.
