Thursday, March 26, 2009. Revisiting McCarthy, August 2008. Last August, my parents came to visit for a 5-day whirlwind trip around the state of Alaska. In 5 days, we managed to drive to and from McCarthy, down the incredibly haggard McCarthy Rd. But the city dwellers hung tough, and the Subaru survived without replacing one tire, and we had a great time. a beautiful view of the Wrangells from our quaint little lodge. Time to cross the bridge again.
