When my plane landed in Detroit for my connection to Cincinnati, it took a minute for me to realize that I wasnt in Europe anymore. It wasnt the disappearance of the British accent nevermind the even more charming Scottish accent that made me realize, nor the fact that I paid for food with dollars instead of pounds, Euros or koruna.
