I just got back from a crazy travel week. Sand to Snow and back again. I did manage to run on the beach on Tuesday morning.

Thursday, March 01, 2018. This has been a weird year. On one hand, thanks to the addition of baby Ben, it is the year that my family became complete. And now for some memories and pictures! I spent the month hiding my pregnancy from work, which was especially interesting as we had a kick-off weekend in Scottsdale and I had to be a proxy for my boss.

Let Me Get What I Want. Saturday, November 28, 2009. Just When I Think I Have Him Pegged. Imagine my surprise, a few months ago when Tarlac said he was down to do the San Antonio half-marathon. You know I was simply giddy inside but did not want to scare him away by overzealously welcoming him to my world with a smothering embrace. I offered any and all support which he politely declined indicating he would do it all on his own. Monday, October 19, 2009.
I started doing triathlons in 2002 and have now done over a dozen including two Ironman races. Sharing my thoughts about the sport, training, and life in general is why I am here. Tuesday, July 05, 2011. Race Report - JCC Independence Day Triathlon. Need to keep up your swim fitness? Do some running. How about improving on the bike? Running might work. I was right at 90 rpm like I should have been.

Outer Banks Half Ironman 70. Again, competing in races like this, I realize how God has blessed me and I always remember that the glory is his, not mine. I read and walked for miles at night along the beach, writing bad blank verse and searching endlessly for someone wonderful who would step out of the darkness and change my life.
