My wife, Trish, and I are missionaries working in Lampang, North Thailand. This blog was intended to be my musings and questions about life and my personal observations of Thai life and culture. At present, however, it consists mainly of our monthly newsletters.
So what have we done? It is an old wooden house that has been used as a restaurant for the past number of years. It was pretty run down and needed a lot of work but it met with our criteria - location, size and price, so we took it. What proved to be a real challenge was finding a graphic desig.

Monday, May 16, 2011. Scene 1 - The Kitchen. The concept was simple - make a Barbie cake for Ninas 4th birthday. And she split my jolly cake. I patched it together with blueberry jam. I was managing fine and dealing with all the hurdles, but why wasnt it easy? Why werent all the steps falling perfectly into place? Why was it all a struggle?
