A Black Faced Spoonbill at Kamiiso 2 years ago today. This is a rare east Asian endemic with less than 3000 individuals in the wild. They can be seen in south Japan, Hong Kong and various other locales but are pretty rare this far north. This one was present about a week and on one of the days it was feeding on the beach and i could get reasonably close to it. 160;An Osprey family this morning.
Ik heb natuurlijk niet alleen maar vlinders gefotografeerd. Ook andere kleine beestjes zoals je hier onder kunt zien. Cicade deze is ongeveer 5mm. Fijne zondag en bedankt voor de reactie op mijn vorig blogje. Ik heb al best veel verschillende soorten vlinders voor de lens gehad. Al zitten er in de tuin heel weinig. De vlinderstruik bloeit volop, maar vlinders zie je er bijna niet.

When that is all done I will begin to write my trip report, but in the meantime this species deserves its own coverage. A Red-footed Falcon Falco vespertinus.
