Tuesday, July 21, 2015. When I return to the US from living abroad, I am always eager and surprised to see what strikes me as odd, familiar, warm, cold or foreign. This time around Ive been in the US for 3 days after 6 months in Congo, I initially noticed many warm and familiar feelings. At my parents more conservative. Church, the majority of women wear skirts. Again not too far from Beni. But Ive also noticed some strange things, too. The sun doesnt go down.ever. Nice paved roads everywhere.
