Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Book Plots and Quilt Blocks. I just finished my third novella in the Eastern Sierra Brides 1884 series. I think this was my all-time hardest story to write. It took me far longer to finish than I had hoped or anticipated. One reason was because life happens. But, the other reasons are far more subtle. They can probably best be described by comparing my writing to my quilting experiences.

Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Bolts of lightning struck the earth. The river rapids grew faster and whipped me through the maze of sharp rocks. It seemed that even the river warred against me. The currents hurled me into a cluster of boulders.

Friday, June 27, 2014. I have been on vacation for the better part of three weeks. No writing or blogging, only sight-seeing and picture-taking. I lost 200-400 images from my camera, but between my camera and cell phone I still saved 1,800 plus images to my computer. Not all are high quality, but enough are that I should have blog material for months to come. Locomotive in from the Ogden, Utah, Union Station. Ogden Union Station today.
