I miss my family and close friends in the States immensely, however, the desire to be obedient to God and live out the love I have for Him keeps me here, amidst an amazing body of Christ and friends who encourage, challenge and support me as well as people and a community who need to know who Christ is and fullness of life that can only come through Him. Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Madi got to spend a few days with her cousins last week. Despite all of the time outs, I really think they had a good time! The kids watering my flowers. Swimming it up in the kiddie pool. We camped in Grand Haven with Mom and Dad for coast guard festival. Spent lots of time on the boat and in the sun. Perfecting her golf swing with Daddy outside the camper. Riding the carousel with Daddy.
Saturday, April 18, 2009. I gave Henry his first haircut tonight. I clipped a few pieces off the top to save in an envelope but then got out the Flo-Bee to do the rest. He did not like me messing with his hair. So funny! Here he is after a bath and all cleaned up. Below is the before pictures. Wednesday, March 11, 2009.
Twenty years ago on this day was one of the worst experiences of my life. The mom I knew was soft, gentle, extremely talented, and more loving than anyone on earth. God works in weird ways, but I still trust Him.
Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Because of the overcast day, the park was not too crowded and by the end of the day it was warm and sunny! Except Tyler and Blake were too small.
