Ive managed to get quite a lot done in between games of Bolt Action over the last few weeks. Painting the Fallschirmjagers has slowed right down as Im yet to figure out how to paint a good looking splinter camo so like all good wargamers I switched to another easier project. Friday, August 7, 2015. Cairngorms road trip, Ospreys fishing, Spoonbills and a surprise herd of Reindeer! Just got back from a jaunt up to the Cairngorms. With my good mate Rob. The weather was less than perfect but it was a great road trip. I did all the driving, Rob all the cooking . Hunting in tandem over Lochindorb. In the rain and 2 Spoonbills. At low tide on Findhorn Bay.
Looking out from inside the Marmalade Jar. Sometimes only paper will do. But sometimes a favourite book just feels so good in your hands. Especially if it has a cover as lovely as this. I spotted it in a city bookstore early this year and it became a gift. It is hardback and actually has a smallish page size, but the feel in my hands and the smell of the paper are both things that e-books cannot provide. Rereading it was a real physical pleasure. So after breakfast this mornin.
