I embraced wine while many of my friends became beer connoisseurs. They are young, left wing, and employed and they brew their own beer. They frequent local breweries. Mostly, they drink very hoppy ales. I tag along and order the house wine. Yet, what happened at the bar when I requested a non-hoppy light summer ale two weeks ago?
