Sunday, January 31, 2010. On January 4th I overstuffed my station wagon with luggage, beach bags, and five amazing girls, and headed for the port in Galveston, TX, where our cruise ship, the Carnival Ecstasy, was waiting to sail us off on a five-day Mexican adventure. Thursday, April 17, 2014. Great to be 8! Well my first little girl has turned 8 years old. It was a fun and busy celebration. It was neat to look back at her in her blessing dress . 2 white dresses down, one more to go! She was thrilled. She has been begging for this moment since she was 4 years old! Happy birthday, indeed.
We made it to the annual Ison Christmas FHE as well. Our family cherishes this tradition so this was a big deal. Christmas carols with handbells is always a huge hit.

Tuesday, June 26, 2012. A few years ago, just after moving to Toquerville, we heard of some hikes in Zion that required rappelling. We got some ropes and harnesses and went through Spry Canyon. We got online and read about Pine Creek. And I was vowing never to return if I ever got out, then I was going through Heaps again. Two weeks ago we assembled the ultimate canyoneering team and set out for Imlay Canyon in Zion. Matthew, me, Ross, Dad, and Chris at West Rim trailhead.
I use traditional techniques to create contemporary textile pieces. I begin the making process by laying down a bed of handmade felt, I then define the felted surface with hand embroidery and beading. I aim to create richly coloured snapshots of nature at its best.
