I started covering the couched lines with blue twisted silk. Between the double strands, the twisting, and the underlayer, the lines pop off the fabric. Our hero has a fleet of horse vans and the first mysterious dead body just appeared. Another dragon segment done! It sure makes stitching exciting. So I started that one too. I turned her frown upside down. Now we are getting to the good stuff. I started embroidering the lute for the scissors holder. I cut the linen just a bit too small! Time goes too fast.

Thursday, August 6, 2015. I got really excited about this patch of clover. I pressed the leaves and sketched the plants. It actually became my evening event a few times a week to walk down and see how the clover had changed or if more had bloomed. With this piece, I wanted to continue my Weeds embroideries using the scrap gold thread bits but I also wanted to experiment with doing long and short stitch using a Valdani sewing and quilting thread. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. I was able to finish sewing her dress yesterday and today I put the lace on it and dressed her. All of her clothes are sewn and embroidered by hand. Her dress is pale gold taffeta and the lace is hand made bobbin lace. I was able to purchase some lace fragments several years ago so I could cut them up to use for her collar, sleeves and cuffs. New projects are in the planning stage to do more things for my 17th century casket and accessories. Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
