Friday, November 5, 2010. We had Halloween last weekend. It began, predictably enough, with me frantic and fragmented and late to a school party. It followed that we attended a party, carved pumpkins, hung a light fixture, greeted house guests, drank some wine, made crowns in Sunday school, and then trick or treated. Three rainy days this week, and the kids got their new rainboots THE DAY BEFORE THE RAIN CAME. I dragged the kids to a fancy store to stock up on baby gift.

How could fourteen hours with two children in five different vehicles not change me? Especially two children who are experiencing mountain sickness and a two hour time difference. Writing this blog vaguely implies that I have some wisdom or, at the very least, useful tips for single moms by choice. And so, this will be my last post.
Saturday, May 1, 2010. I hope it was candy in the bag on your doorstep this morning. Today the focus is two unique celestial bodies, the Red Rectangle Nebula and the Red Square Nebula. So why does it look like a big X? What could cause a nebula to appear square? No one is quite sure.
