Grey and lavender works a treat here. We stopped in a cafe with a view over the harbour and had lobster sandwiches and iced lemonade. We noticed how patriotic the majority of residents seem to be. There were stars and stripes everywhere! Essence of a holiday. Rustic decorations outside an antiques shop.

Friday, 17 July 2015. I expect it was the same in many other places this far south. The weather has been warm and close for a while, but with not very much rain. Mr C took some pictures of the flying ants. This one is of them mating. Sadly it seems after mating, the drone then dies. We found this one above, inside the house on some roses, but put it back outside. Sunday, 21 June 2015.

Sunday, 2 August 2015. Yes all Japanesey style! A delicate white rose in the garden. Soft and dreamy! Watching the evening sun at the end of the garden with the dancing fairies. Looking through the impossible tree. And enjoying the sweet meadow grasses.

Monday, August 17, 2015. A late summer nights dream. I find myself longing for Fall, it seems to hit me every mid-August. On a shopping trip to purchase Dottie Angels. Dress and tunic pattern so as to whip up an autumn inspired frock, I made a quick side trip to Walmart to buy cat litter, and various other non-food staples, and low and behold, the chrysanthemums have arrived! I am a sucker for mums and dahlias and gladiola . so my cart soon held these two beauties! Links to this.
