Thursday, February 15, 2018. 6th continent in the books. I asked at the park if any of neighbors would want to go anywhere in South America with me. Su asked me where and I said anywhere. So after talking to her family we decided to give Quito in Ecuador a try. It was so amazing we loved almost every minute of it! Quito is in the Andes Mountains and is constant views of volcanos and mountains! Guinea Pig - a delicacy there that we chose not to partake. Climb to the top of a cathedral - why not? We played.

The Shame Of Should In Parenting. Recently, I was at a conference and a speaker made a joke about his young children being disrespectful and he and his wife questioning what they were doing wrong. The whole audience laughed but there was more to it than just a response to a funny joke. There was a tangible sense of relief as people realized that this influential, God-fearing speaker had children that misbehaved as well.

Monday, February 10, 2014. I woke up with this phrase running through my mind one morning a little over a week ago. Little did I know how much this phrase would be motivation for Shawn and me in the days ahead. Just last Saturday, as in 8 days ago, our team mates got some life changing news. They discovered that a family emergency was calling them home so they could adopt a 9 year old little boy who has had a tough life. Talk about a fearful situation! Friday, August 30, 2013.
