Rescued From the Flea Market - Introducing Barbie and Bratz Yasmin. Two new dolls in this post, and, to be honest, dolls I dont think are very exciting, especially compared to Monster High and their kind. But if I am to sell doll clothes one day I should have at least one of each, or how will I know if my clothes fit them? Luckily, I also get to practice doll mod techniques on these dolls, since there are plenty more where they came from - Todmorden Flea Market. So I guess Ill dig.
I am finally cutting into my Mendocino fabric! I have all the prints from the line, I have been hoarding them for a few years. I found the book 50 Fabulous Paper Pieced Stars. At my local library, but I do want to get a copy for myself soon. This first block is called Virginia Star.
From 2011 until 2013 Sew Together was a sewing school in Sydney run by Caroline and Maryanne - two sisters passionate about sewing for themselves and their children. They enjoyed helping their students discover the joy of creating beautiful but simple things and the pleasure that comes from being part of a crafting community. Thursday, December 22, 2016. The Return of the Light. The Wheel of the Year has turned once again and we find ourselves at the Midwinter Festival of Light, one which has been celebrated in many mythologies and under many names for eons. Holding her sheaf of wheat, rises in the eastern sky. And so the Virgin gives birth to the Child of Light in the very depths of the darkness. His light, the newborn sun, will rise at dawn.
It is getting close to being official. I have put in a welcome message on the site and am waiting for final approval from the owner.
It has been a long time since I have written a blog post here. It has been way too long that I have examined a feeling of being lost. And perhaps a little scared.
