Grow Your Own Simple Salad. 2013 will be the first year I try growing my own lettuce to make fresh salad from the garden. I am thinking I will try an indoor container and loose leaf for a spring time stunt. I will setup a planter with drainage material in the bottom and fill it with potting soil, fresh and moist. Thinning is essential to make room for better growth.
