Sunday, August 23, 2015. The other day I asked Spencer if he felt like an adult. When I was young, I would try to picture myself as an adult. It was almost impossible! I would look at the other grown ups in my life, and wonder about the important things I would think, say, and do. Surely when I would be a grown up, I would feel different. When is the exact moment one becomes a grown up? What qualifies someone to be an adult? Is it when I graduated high school? Sometimes things do.

My name is Laura, and I am the author of this blog. I am currently attending school online at BYU-I, and it has surprised me over and over how useful this blog has become over the years because several of the classes I have taken have either required or had an option for blog posts for a grade. Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Well, this class is over! I have also learned the importance of looking at the bright side. I have realized that although there are apparent challanges within families and marriages, they are a beautiful, God-given gift! I am so grateful for my own marriage, and that we will be able to start a family of our very own! This class, if anything, has reassured me of the sacredness of families. It has helped me realize that it is my divine purpose, as a woman, to be a mother! Parent.
