Priene, Turkey - Take A Walk With Me. For the last 5 years I have regularly visited Priene and love the tranquil setting and the feelings and questions that come to mind when walking around. Thursday, 26 February 2015. First Signs Of Spring Here In Turkey. We have been told by many people here in Turkey that we have experienced one of the coldest winters for over 50 years. So it has been nice to have an odd day or two of warm sunshine over the last couple of weeks which has enabled some signs of Spring to start to appear. Priene, Turkey - Take A Walk With Me Part 2. This is a continuation to my blog. I have had to split the blog into two because of wanting to have a continuous format, to allow for the walk. Thursday, 15 August 2013. Take A Walk With Me. This blog is the continuation of. Priene was said to have had a population of around 6000 peop. Here you can see some of the rooms which surround the courtyard. The houses would have been constructed of mud and rubble with the street sid.

The Nature Around Me. Tuesday, 16 June 2015. I was fairly sure this was a juvenile blackbird as I thought I could already start to make out the yellow beak and eye ring forming. Its main feathers have mostly developed, with just a few tufts of his chick feathers remaining. But after several discussions on various sites and more investigation it appears to be a juvenile Starling that must have only just fledged. Starlings are resident all year in the UK.
