2014 for us began amidst the throes of Big Winter, the most brutal winter we young folk have experienced in Kansas City. It was cold, dark, snowy and long. So spring was ever more a welcome respite. Our young kids dont know the difference, but to mom and dad it was like releasing animals from captivity when we could finally send them outside to play without worrying.
