I love Oman, its friendly people and amazing landscapes. These are observations and reflections on what I experience during day to day life here, and should be received with tongue firmly in cheek. Yeah I do like scary books, movies ect. All these novels have one thing in common, something I have never paid any attention to, but this time, after re-reading all these books one after another, it just became so obvious. These are all about children who were scared- and lonely. There was nobody to share their fears with? Here you go- USA gov wants to nuke us.

Friday, May 9, 2014. Something a little different - Reflections from my journal. How many of us are content with our lives right now? How many of us know where we belong? Is probably one of my all-time favourit songs.

The door or dictatorship in Oman was cracked open and democracy was allowed to briefly raise its head in the form of protest and free speech. The ability to criticise anyone within the bounds of slander or libel is a fundamental right of democracy. Alas, the door has been firmly shut again .
