It NEVER did and my cat became a recluse, always in our room to the point I had to move her food and water as well as her cat box to my room. Eventually she got out and never came home. The first day is also another reminder that they are getting older and that time is moving much too quickly. This is Baileys last year at the Jr. High. And Morgans last year in Elementary school.
