In October 2008 I was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia. This is the story of my diagnosis, peri-acetabular osteotomy, and recovery. I write so that my family and friends can stay updated on my condition, and so that others diagnosed with hip dysplasia may learn from my experiences with surgery and recovery.
S told me that I did not have cysts, but I had a bone fragment left behind from the previous surgery! No wonder I was hurting! He is like family.
Wednesday, November 27, 2013. I started physical therapy this week. I can say the past 7 week shave been easy, relatively speaking, but in all fairness, I was high. I slept a lot, my family brought me what I needed, and I parked it. I caught up on Facebook, I read, watched TV and movies and generally hung out. Did I mention I as high? In the meantime, I have been given the go ahead.
