Friday, March 4, 2011. After brushing my teeth and washing my face with bottled water I was ready to start the day. The adoption coordinator picked us up at 9am, I had been awake since 5. Gail goes right up to him and my heart is in my throat. He is tiny! He is coming over to us! He is hugging me! Just one quick hug, leaving me longing for more. Daddy gets one too, but he would not look at us. It is kinda gross, right? .
Where you come to catch up on all things Hess. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Lucas was in his first sport this spring- Soccer! And needless to say I think he takes after his dad because he is very good. His coaches seemed impressed, he is quick and pretty skillful with his legwork for his first time playing. Now keep in mind they play 3 on 3 and there is no goalie. but it was still really exciting to watch! At his last game.
Completed the Gladiator Assault Challenge! 7 miles. A number of cuts, scrapes and bruises. One pair of really sore feet. Lots of good camaraderie on the trail. Tough, but doable, and fun obstacles.
