Sooo as promised this is one of the entries from my journal from my only trip outside of the country. its my 5th or so entry from the trip and was written the morning after my first night sleeping in the bush. Saturday, September 15, 2007. Seeing the Adventure of it all. We were dropped off by the bus, and proceeded to walk down the highway to the entrance to Collahuasi. Now walking down the side of the highway in the US is crazy, but in Peru, it is just stupidly dangerous! We carefully made our way down the path, Lynae and I holding on to one another for support, though it did not keep us from slipping a couple times.
