Those Crazy Allens

Thursday, November 10, 2011. The Brown reunion was alot of fun! It is always great to see all the cousins. We ran down Greens Peak, played Minute to win it, had a family dance, and of course games! Going to the reunion has always been something that I look forward to all year. On top of Greens Peak. After the run down Greens Peak we had a family picnic.

We have been really wanting to get a picture of all of our kids together, and we finally were able to make it happen on Christmas Eve. We had everyone together for about two hours. and here is the result! Tabitha, Stephanie, Chelsea, Jessie, Cody. Jeanne, Troy, Shelly. And this one is with all the spouses and grandkids.

17th Ward Relief Society

Thursday, October 27, 2011. We had an amazing turn out at the Additional Relief Society Meeting on October 20th. I am so grateful for all the Sisters that brought food. We surprised the Sisters who attended with a lesson about Visiting Teaching from Chapter 7 of Daughters of our Kingdom. We were so grateful that all of you were such good sports and participated. Angela Moore set up a photo booth for us to document our night. We had such a great time acting silly for the camera! Friday, August 19, 2011.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Evaluation of Fall 2009 Des Com. I felt that there was a well-thought-out structure to the projects this quarter. The portfolio reviews were very helpful, as were the critiques of our work. This was also the first quarter where I feel we spent an appropriate amount of time preparing for our final presentation, and I really valued the insight we got from Mike in preparation for our final critique. Having additional help and input was a benefit.

The sweltering summer sun finally let up enough for a bit this past weekend for us to return to an old stomping ground to revisit the remnants of the Projection art installation in Silverlake. Now that this place is old news, it was nice to have it to ourselves this time around. It was such a contrast to our first visit. Back in May, and though time and weather havent been its greatest friend, we were still enchanted by this homage to minimalism.
